G-PISD Students Show Strong Academic Growth and Outperform State Averages.

Gregory-Portland ISD is celebrating strong preliminary STAAR results for students in grades 3–8 and End-of-Course (EOC) exams at the high school level. The results reflect significant academic growth across the district, with G-PISD students continuing to outperform state averages in key subject areas.

Highlights include:
⭐Strong growth in all EOC subjects, with the largest gains seen in Algebra I and Biology. Performance also increased in English I, English II, and U.S. History.
⭐Significant year-over-year gains in Mathematics and Reading Language Arts at all grade levels.
⭐G-PISD students outperformed state averages across all performance levels in Mathematics and Reading Language Arts at all grade levels.

"We are incredibly proud of the academic growth our students have achieved," said Superintendent Dr. Michelle Cavazos. "These results are a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the support of our families and community. Together, we remain committed to providing an exemplary public education that prepares every student for success."

Science results for elementary and middle school students will be released at a later date. Final accountability results are expected in August.
