About the Wildcat Learning Center (WLC)
Devin Gonzalez, our Graduate Marine - Quote: " I wanted to thank you for allowing me to graduate from WLC, which allowed me to enter and graduate boot camp and become a United States Marine. A big thank you to the teachers who helped me learn during my classes."
Welcome to the Wildcat Learning Center Website.
The Wildcat Learning Center (WLC) offers Gregory-Portland ISD students an alternative path to earning a high school diploma. Founded in 2007, the WLC focuses on helping students recover lost credits and earn new credits at an accelerated pace. Students are accepted into the program through an application process, and they must show substantial academic progress to stay in the program.
The WLC school day is divided into two shifts for students who are at their cohort required number of credits. Students enrolled in the morning shift attend school from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, while students enrolled in the afternoon shift attend school from Noon to 4:00 p.m.
