Welcome Back W.C.A. Dolphins!  I am so happy to be back with you this year.  I enjoyed my extended summer at home with my new baby boy, but I am happy to be back with all my school kids.  I am looking forward to all the great things we have planned for this year.  This year I will be the case manager for students in Pre-K through 2nd and 5th Grade.  I will also be working with all students that receive specialized instruction(pull-out) in reading.

Or call me directly at school 361-777-4048 extension 2411

WOW!  What a way to end a school year!  When I left for spring break I had no idea I would not step back into my classroom until May 21st.  It has been a very emotional ending to our school year.  Please recharge over the summer, have fun, enjoy the outdoors, and make memories with your family.

I can't wait until August 13th so that I can see you all again!  To my kids going on to middle school or moving; I am so sorry we did not get to say goodbye!  I know we will see each other again. Please keep in touch!

Love you all! - Mrs. Salinas

school's out

I will be starting tutorials after school in the next few weeks.  Please be on the lookout for a letter. If you are interested in your child receiving help after school, please contact me through email ksalinas@g-pisd.org or on Remind.  I will be pulling students 3rd-5th for TEKS based tutorials in preparation for the STAAR test, and will pull K-2 for enrichment in needed areas.

Please make sure you are reading over winter break. Students can track their reading through Book Taco. They can log minutes and pages read, and take tests on books. You can access Book Taco through Clever from any device by going to Clever.com.  Students can use their QR code or standard email and password to log-in. If you have any questions, please contact me.

I am so excited to start of the 2019-2020 school year.  This will be a super year with tons of learning. Please contact me if you have any questions for this year.  You can find my information on the right for Remind, Flipgrid, and Twitter.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday!  - Mrs. Salinas

CLASS INFORMATION:

We work to meet the individual needs of your children. Please help us by keeping open communication with Special Education teachers, General Education teachers, and all other specialized support services that your child receives(speech, OT, PT, etc). Continuing to practice at home will only make your child a stronger student and will help them retain information taught in class. This will also help them build a generalization across other contexts and environments.
