Another great school year has come and gone! It was an honor to serve as 4th grade's reading support and social studies teacher this year. I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!

I cannot believe this year has officially come to an end! As we reflect on this year, I want you to know that I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been your child's fourth grade teacher, both in the classroom and virtually! I have had the opportunity to build relationships with these students more than I have any other class. This year was definitely a learning curve for everyone, and I certainly learned just as much from them as they did from me. I am truly going to miss each and everyone of them. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful summer!

Hello! I am Mrs. Burns! This will be my fifth year here at W.C. Andrews Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood-6th Grade Core Subjects. My degree also has an emphasis in reading which is what I teach here a W.C. Andrews. I teach reading, writing, and social studies to the most wonderful fourth graders. I am partnered with Mrs. Vanderslice, who teaches math and science. I am currently a graduate student at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi pursuing my masters in Educational Administration. I have lived in Corpus Christi for 15 years now and I have found my husband and forever home right here in South Texas. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work at such a warm and welcoming school district and I am so excited to see where this year will take us.
