I am still in shock that this year has come to an end! As we reflect on this year, I want you to know that I am so thankful for the opportunity to have been your child's fourth grade teacher, both in the classroom and online! I certainly learned just as much from them as they did from me. They will always be that "one class" that was my quarantine class, and I will always remeber them. I am truly going to miss each and everyone of them. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful summer! Spend time together and enjoy the little things <3

God Bless,

Hello! I am Mrs. Burns! This will be my fourth year here at W.C. Andrews Elementary. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood-6th Grade Core Subjects. My degree also has an emphasis in reading which is what I teach here a W.C. Andrews. I teach reading, writing, and social studies to the most wonderful fourth graders. I am partnered with Mrs. Ramirez  who will teaches math and science! I have lived in Corpus Christi for 15 years now and I have found my husband and forever home right here in South Texas. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work at such a warm and welcoming school district and I am so excited to see where this year will take us!

Students will have a spelling test every Friday. Each student will be given a copy of that weeks spelling list on the Monday before the test. Students are to choose any 2 activities from their Spelling Menu to complete as homework during the week. Students must complete TWO activities per week for homework.
