The 2nd grade students performed at the PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 23d. The students began working on the show in Mrs. Homesley's music class, at the end of November. The show, "Down on Grandpa's Farm", started with the title song, "Down on Grandpa's Farm," and continued with a variety of songs about life on the farm. The students ended the performance by going out to the audience to play a game of Tideo with their family and friends.
2nd grades Cami Egbert, Mason Nguyen, Elena Moreno, Brayden Diebel, Josslyn Zabel, and Peyton Fikes held speaking roles in the show. The speakers got their parts the night of, and did a great job reading from their cue cards!
Dear SFA Family,
Last Saturday, our school community received the heartbreaking news that one of our precious third grade students, Madi Pena, passed away. Today, we received consent from the family to release information about memorial arrangements (please see below). Additionally, a photo of sweet Madi has been posted with the family's permission.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has been on hand to help this week. Elementary Counselors and staff from across the District have been on our campus supporting students and staff. Certainly, our constant thoughts and genuine concern remain for the Pena family. We extend our deepest, sincere condolences to them as we celebrate the life of a beautiful, outstanding SFA student who will remain in our hearts for all time.
