G-PISD Points of Pride 2025-2026

Gregory-Portland ISD offers a Dual Language Program beginning in Pre-Kindergarten, serving both English and Spanish speakers in a two-way model through 3rd grade. Additional support continues with an early-exit program in 4th and 5th grade. This initiative helps students become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural. By starting early and expanding access, we are building bridges across cultures and preparing Wildcats with skills that will expand their futures.

G-PISD elementary campuses now feature larger-than-life, interactive learning exhibits in English and Spanish. These hallway displays give students hands-on opportunities to practice skills in new and engaging ways, while providing teachers with exciting tools to bring lessons to life.

For 2025–2026, G-PISD made a significant investment in Special Education staffing to better serve students and families. With additional teachers, instructional aides, and specialists in place, our district is ensuring that students receive the individualized support they need to thrive.

Our Legacy Leaders are part of G-PISD’s monthly student feature series, created to highlight students who inspire others through their leadership, service, and achievement. They were named Legacy Leaders this year because they carry forward the excellence built over 75 years while shaping the future of our district. These students are living examples that today’s Wildcats will become tomorrow’s legacy.

The G-P Education Foundation strengthens classrooms and futures by funding teacher grants and student scholarships, creating lasting impact across G-PISD.

The G-P Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to serve and support G-PISD teachers and students through:

G-PISD’s Clothing Closet and Food Pantry provide essential resources for students and families, serving hundreds in their first year together. These programs show our continued commitment to supporting Wildcat families beyond academics.

With strong voter support, Bond 2025 passed this May, authorizing $205 million in improvements for academics, arts, technology, security, and athletics. This historic investment reflects the confidence our community has in G-PISD and its vision for the future.
