Mr. William Schuetz saves his conspiracy theories until after the STAAR EOC test. The students are so interested in his past research and theories. It is very thought provoking. We are still thinking about his theories long afterward.

Dana Kocik and Cari Kahl are starting a summer book club for teens this summer. We are fortunate enough that the First United Methodist Church of Portland agreed to sponsor the club and the buy the book for all teens. So, the book is FREE to all that come. We will be reading the book "Do Hard Things: a Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations" by Alex and Brett Harris.

Every year the Coastal Bend Blood Center challenges all area high schools to get their communities to give units of blood for use within our community. GPHS has chosen for the last few years to have those blood drives focus on those who need blood the most in our community, whether due to cancer, illness, etc.
