The benefits of chess are well-documented for players of all ages. Chess strengthens problem-solving skills, hones concentration and encourages strategic thinking. It's also fun!

If you are interested in joining the GPMS Knights of the Round Table (UIL Chess Team), please e-mail Mr. Thomas (tthomas@g-pisd.org).

6th graders, 7th graders, and 8th graders are ALL welcome!

Practice sessions are before school in room C112, Thursday mornings, before school.

Do you want to play chess online with a friend or against a computer? There are also chess master tips and tricks here: https://www.coolmathgames.com/0-chess
