Welcome to the Wildcat Learning Center Website.

The Wildcat Learning Center (WLC) offers Gregory-Portland ISD students an alternative path to earning a high school diploma. Founded in 2007, the WLC focuses on helping students recover lost credits and earn new credits at an accelerated pace. Students are accepted into the program through an application process, and they must show substantial academic progress to stay in the program.

The WLC school day is divided into two shifts for students who are at their cohort required number of credits. Students enrolled in the morning shift attend school from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, while students enrolled in the afternoon shift attend school from Noon to 4:00 p.m.  If a student is behind with their graduation cohort credits they will attend a full day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm until they meet the requirement.
