Welcome to my class! I am very excited to be a part of the G-P Wildcat family for my third year. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work with you this year! Through my passion for teaching, I hope to inspire you with a love of learning that will encourage you to do your very best, not only in my class, but in all you strive to accomplish. Pre-AP Biology is recommended for high-achieving students who have a particular interest in biology and the natural sciences. This course places a high emphasis on critical thinking skills by examining real world problems. Students will master the skills necessary to pass the STAAR Science exam and provide preparation for the AP Biology course.

AP Biology is a rigorous college-level course. This course is meant to deepen students' understanding of the unifying principles of biology using the principles of inquiry to guide them through. Content will be covered in more depth and greater expectations will be placed on interpretation and analysis of information than previous biology courses. AP Biology is a course that aims to provide students with the conceptual framework, factual knowledge, and analytical skills necessary to deal critically with the rapidly changing science of biology. This course is designed to prepare students for the Biology College Board Advanced Placement Exam.
