Bio

Hello everyone, my name is Cinda Alvarado; I live in Corpus Christi.  I currently teach Chemistry and IPC; I have also taught Pre-AP Chemistry, Physics, and Anatomy. 

I have 20+ years experience in Education.  My Certifications include a Science Composite, Chemistry, and Mid-Management certificates.  My academic background includes a B.S. in Chemistry and Food Science, and a Master's in Business Administration. 

Some of my hobbies include meeting new people, listening to music, reading, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.

I look forward to helping your son/daughter be successful; it will be a great year!

Class Expectations

Chemistry

Students in chemistry will examine the following topics which include Measurement, Matter, Atomic Structure, Periodic Table, Atomic Theory, Bonding, Chemical Formulas, Mole, Chemical Reactions, Stoichiometry, Gases, Water, Solutions, Acids & Bases, Thermodynamics, Nuclear Chemistry.

IPC

Students in IPC will examine Measurement, Scientific Method, Distance, Displacement, Speed, Velocity, Graphing, Motion, Acceleration, Periodic Table, Atom, Energy, States of Matter, Molecules, Physical & Chemical Properties, Water, Conservation of Energy & Mass.
