More than $13,000 awarded to G-P teachers in December 2020!
For the second consecutive year, the Gregory-Portland Education Foundation (G-PEF) awarded grants to G-PISD teachers! These surprise announcements took place on Dec. 10, 2020, with awards totaling $13,942.74 for 15 teachers serving at four G-PISD schools. These programs will impact approximately 1,643 students in the current school year with many serving students in the years to follow! The G-PEF was fully established in February 2019. To date, the foundation has awarded $10,500 in scholarships for G-PISD students and $27,696.39 in grants to G-PISD teachers.

Congratulations to Our Inaugural Grant Winners!
2019-20 WINNERS: The G-P Education Foundation visited all six (6) Gregory-Portland ISD schools on Friday, November 15, 2019, to surprise 20 G-P teachers with $13,753.65 in grant awards -- the FIRST-EVER (inaugural) grants awarded by the foundation! Programs will impact at least 1,705 G-P students this school year alone, and more in the years to come.
THANK YOU, DONORS! - Grants were made available thanks to our individual and private donors, as well as proceeds from the 2019 Teacher of the Year Banquet last May ... and a $5,000 gift from the Kiwanis Club of Portland (provided by the West Family / Dairy Queens of South Texas).
