On Wednesday, October 25th, we will be hosting a Senior and Parent FAFSA & Financial Aid Readiness Workshop in the library at the high school. The event will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. During the event, our new Postsecondary Advisor, Elizabeth Watson, will give a presentation with TRIO about the upcoming FAFSA and it's changes as well as a quick review on financial aid and what options are available for seniors. TRIO will also give a presentation about their student resources and how they can assist students with their college paths. Pizza and refreshments will be provided. Any inquiries can be answered by Ms. Watson via email (ewatson@g-pisd.org) or mobile (361-300-2945). Now is the time to begin preparing for your seniors' next steps!

Volunteer Opportunity for GPHS Students in october

This year at the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk students can earn a certificate of "Official" Volunteer Service Hours for the hours they provide their support.

This year’s walk is on Saturday, October 14. Check out Sign Up Genius to see the details for all the volunteer opportunities we have to pick from this year. Students can sign themselves up by following the link. Two really cool things, first the walk in at Bayfront Park in downtown Corpus Christi and second, there will be a total solar eclipse around 11:50. So, not only will  the students help the American Cancer Society end breast cancer as we know it, but they will also be front and center, on the Bayfront for this awe-inspiring celestial event.
