Hello Everyone! My name is Salena Pereida and I am the Theater Arts teacher at Gregory-Portland High School. I received my Bachelors degree from Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi and I'm proud to say I am a Gregory-Portland High school alumnae. This is my 9th year as a part of the Gregory Portland Family and I am so excited to be teaching at my Alma Mater. I am very excited about this upcoming school year and having the opportunity to work with your student. I am confident that together we’ll have a fun and productive year. If you need to contact me, the best way to reach me is via email. Let's have a wonderful year and GO WILDCATS!
I Love Being a teacher because... it allows me to help students find their voice through Theater and hopefully become a little more comfortable in their skin.
I Love Being a Wildcat because... of the sense of community and tradition that is rooted in our school system. We pride ourselves on the accomplishments of our students and root for their success long after high school. ONCE A WILDCAT, ALWAYS A WILDCAT!
You can reach me by....email or REMIND. Students may attend virtual Office Hours on TEAMS for assignment assistance, or use their integrated system to send me a message.

I love teaching because...I get to share my passion for theater and teach hands-on skills that can be applied to so many facets of everyday life.
I love being a Wildcat because...I love the sense of family that is created by not only the students, but staff and community as well.
