Purpose & Mission
The purpose of the Gregory-Portland ISD Superintendent’s Teacher Advisory Council (STAC) is to serve an advisory role to the Superintendent, and provide an avenue of engagement and leadership development for teachers and staff. The STAC supports the district’s vision, mission, and goals through teacher input and participation in areas that impact all components of the four priorities identified in the district's Balanced Scorecard.
Membership
The STAC consists of up to 12 teachers, two from each of our six campuses, who were awarded as Teachers of the Year in G-PISD. Each representative serves a two-year term after being recognized at this level of achievement.
Terms & Expectations for Service
All members serve for two school years, and attend monthly meetings as scheduled during each academic year. Additionally, the STAC may be invited to serve in other ways as identified by the Superintendent.
