Meal Pricing @ G-PISD

The Gregory-Portland ISD Board of Trustees voted in favor of funding student meals for all families during the 2023-2024 school year. This will be the second consecutive year that the school board will use district funds to cover what would usually be out-of-pocket costs for families attending a public school, and will result in a second year of up to $1,000 in annual savings per child for every G-PISD family.
It is important to remember that this is a limited-time decision and opportunity. In the future, G-PISD will be returning to the standard practice of receiving payments from our families for student meals that are not covered by federal free and reduced lunch plans. As we plan for future years, transparency and preparation is important. Therefore, we encourage all of our families to click the buttons below to view more information about this decision in a district press release, and also review the meal pricing estimates for 2023-2024. These estimates provide a preliminary understanding of what families would have been paying for meals next year, and therefore aid in reasonably predicting what kind of prices families can expect when we return to the standard practice of receiving payments as early as the 2024-2025 school year.
