Eleanor Deitz - Voted Secondary Teacher of the Year

Eleanor Deitz was voted Secondary Teacher of the Year - Congratulations!!

Eleanor Deitz began her teaching career in Taft and then made the move to Gregory-Portland in 1989 as a high school Home Economics teacher. Her passion for teaching starts every day when she walks into her classroom.

"These beautiful students are always a part of our life, forever and always," she said. "I am proud to be a Gregory-Portland Wildcat!"

1st place: G-P 90 points Tennis Freshman Team

The Freshmen Tennis team won the Tuloso-Midway Tournament yesterday up against 13 other schools. Final team scores were 1st place: G-P 90 points, 2nd place: T-M 68 points, and 3rd place Veterans Memorial 40 points.

Regional Art competition Visual Arts Scholastic Event

Isaiah Calzada, the amazing artist at GPHS, created this painting. He is enamored with dragons and was given an assignment to create an animal as a robot. Isaiah competed in the Regional Art competition Visual Arts Scholastic Event, two weeks ago, and his piece, "T-Rex," was among the top twenty that were selected out of 453 to go to State.

We will be printing this image on shirts and sell them to raise funds for the trip to San Antonio to represent GPHS, for the second consecutive time. The shirts will printed on black and will be in dress code, GPHS will be printed on the sleeve. They will be selling for $20 for this original masterpiece.
