Swimmer of the Year Bethany Sutter Congratulations to the District 30 4A Champion GP Water cats. Bethany Sutter earned the honor of district swimmer of the year and the boys 400 free relay shattered the 1989 school.

Chance Vernon 6’7” 330 OL Honors: District 30-4A Most Valuable Offensive Lineman All South Texas-1st Team Associated Press All State-Honorable Mention Chance led the Wildcat Offensive line with 275 good blocks and 45 pancake blocks.
Zach Garbe will sign with MCLENNAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE Zach Garbe will sign with MCLENNAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE, Waco TX on Wednesday Feb. 3, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in the Gregory-Portland High School Gym. The McLennan men’s golf team is the defending NJCAA National Champions and currently ranked #1 in the nation. Honors: First Team All District Golf – Sophomore/Junior Year All South Texas Golf – Junior Year 1st place - 2009 TJGT DFW Christmas Preview Tournament, 1st place - 2009 Wildcat Invitational Tournament, 1st place - 2009 STPGA Rockport Tournament. 2nd place - 2009 Starburst Tour. in Waco - World’s largest Jr. Golf tournament.
TAKS TUTORIALS TAKS tutorial days, times, and room numbers are set for the last week of February and April. The following is the schedule: English TAKS Tutorials Monday, February 22nd - Bryan Davis (110) and Betsy Johnson (222) will tutor after school from 3:40 - 5:00 p.m. This is an early release day, but we are still going to offer tutorials. Students can come back to school. Tuesday, February 23rd - Shana Martin (117) and Anthony Hahn (115) will tutor after school from 3:40 - 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24th - Kristen McLaughlin (116) and Don Nutting (229) will tutor after school from 3:40 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25th - B.J. Kientz (112) and Damaris King (224) will tutor after school from 3:40 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27th - Lori Garbe (114) will tutor from 10:00 a.m. - noon Schedules subject to change. If students do not show by 4:00, or 10:30 on Saturday, teachers will leave, so students should be on time.
